Partnership’s ‘Food & Essentials Hubs’ provide long-term solutions for unmet needs in communities nationwide

StarKist today announced plans to assist communities affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. In response to the growing needs in the impacted regions, StarKist is partnering with Feed the Children to coordinate a substantial product donation valued at $250,000, providing much-needed nourishment to those facing these challenging circumstances.

The company, which belongs to the Direct Sales Association, has been recognized by this entity for its nutritional support and corporate social responsibility programs in vulnerable populations.

With donations from Price Rite, Feed the Children and Keurig Dr. Pepper, about 400 local families received a boost in the fight against food insecurity at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater New Bedford Clubhouse on Thursday, July 11.

The food pantry run by South Lakes High School’s PTSA has collected 2 million pounds of food and toiletries to help local students and their families.

Oklahoma’s largest school district, Tulsa Public Schools (TPS), will offer free breakfast and lunch daily to all of the nearly 34,000 students enrolled starting August 20th.
